Rule 8
Application and license fee

(1) An application fee of one hundred rupees shall be charged when applying for an export or import license.
(2) The person making the application for the import license shall submit the license fee at the following rate along with the application for the price that he has applied for the open license. (1) Rs. 5000.- for up to Rs.20.-
(2) Rs. 5,000.- More than Rs. 10,000.- For the purpose- Rs. 60.-
(3) For more than Rs.10,000.- up to Rs.25,000.- Rs.150.-
(4) For more than Rs.25,000.- up to Rs.50,000.- Rs.300.-
(5) For more than Rs.50,000.- up to Rs.1,00,000.- Rs.600.-
(6) In respect of any value exceeding Rs.1,00,000.-, the amount due at the rate of Rs.60.- for each Rs.10,000.- or part thereof in the customs prescribed for the purpose of clause (5).
(3) License fee shall not be charged for issuance of export license.

(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (2), license shall be levied for the import license of goods prescribed by the Government of Nepal from time to time by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette. The payment will be as specified in the notification (5) If an applicant does not get a license, the license fee submitted by him will be returned except for the application fee.
(6) If the license is lost or destroyed, the licensee must submit an application to the license issuing authority mentioning the same, and if the misconduct is found to be serious, the license issuing authority may issue a certified copy of the lost or destroyed license. If a certified copy of the license is issued in such a way, the same fee will be charged as a new license.

(7) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in these rules, no application fee or license fee shall be charged when an export or import license is issued in the name of a government office or a person who has received customs facilities. .
